COLLECTION-"OVERDUE APOLOGIES"
"Overdue Apologies" is a series of paintings that artfully takes you through a character's world. Beginning with a sense of life's full circle, the collection gently guides the viewer through moments of dawning self-awareness and the quiet burden of unexpressed regrets. Witnessing broken bonds, desires just beyond grasp, and a somber glimpse into what lies ahead. Ultimately, the paintings weave together a rich tapestry of interconnected relationships that define this character's experience.

"Day 7"

Acrylic, Other Mediums

“Day 7” is a symbolism painting one that articulates and expresses the entirety of this collection. It’s the starting point, not just of this collection but of life in itself. It shows its completeness, that the story does end. It is the encompassing piece that holds as a foundation for the character, as it has the roots that keep it from breaking under pressure. Deeper observation opens hidden secrets of what is to come in this collection.

"The Problem"
16*20
Acrylic, Other Mediums
“The Problem” in this story is portrayed as the character recognizes, and comes to the conclusion that an apology & acceptance is all that can be done. This self realization is pivotal as the character begins to understand emerging traits about himself. This allows for reflection later in the story for the character to develop.

"The Lion & The Dragon"
16*20
Acrylic, Other Mediums
“The Lion & The Dragon” brings nostalgia of one’s past. Drawing the viewer towards its youth & family, it portrays stuffed animals that represent figures that the character holds dear. Is this an apology to them as well? Perhaps a reminder of whom they’ve looked up to as long as they can remember?

"Unkept"
16*20
Acrylic, Other Mediums
“Unkept” displays two individuals, whom seem to have a strong significance in each others lives, more close than many. But within this closeness, a delicate thing, a promise perhaps, lies broken, unfulfilled. Was it a promise between lovers? Friends? Family perhaps? Is an apology overdue for this significant individual? The air hangs heavy with the unspoken weight of what could not be kept.

"The Fish in My Sea"
16*20
Acrylic, Other Mediums
“The Fish in my Sea” is the final portrait of this collection; as it is the last work, showing its fullness and completeness of "Overdue Apologies". Displaying 7 types of fish-4 saltwater & 3 freshwater-describing their characteristics as they are in different parts of the characters world;but still in cohesion.

“Close” is one describing the character in an unknown space, an effort to reach for something, yet they fall just short of that. This rendering of what is a pink moon, continues to drift further from reach, as other ribbons entangle the character. What is this pink moon? Why can’t the character reach this moon? What is holding the character back, is an apology overdue for the pink moon as well?
"Scapegoat"
“Scapegoat” shows a portrait of the character with a broken horn. How did the character become a scapegoat? How did its horn break?
“Good as a Dead Man” shows what the character envisions his future. Grim. What are the last things he will die with? God and his art.
